The Motorola Talkabout 20 mile radio is the ideal emergency preparedness communication tool for outdoor enthusiasts and active families. With a range of up to 20 miles, an emergency alert feature and flashlight, these radios provide a convenient total emergency preparedness communication device - perfect for active outdoor excursions or life's every day adventures.

These Motorola 20 mile two way radios are designed especially for emergency preparedness kits, or for situations where special emergency features may be necessary. They are equipped with a special emergency alert button. When held for 3 seconds a distress call is sent to all other radios within range, and the radio is briefly switched into iVOX hands-free mode so a message can easily be relayed to others.

In keeping with the emergency theme, these radios are also equipped with a LED flashlight - perfect for emergency situations that occur at night or when the power is out. A mini-USB charging port is an added convenience, allowing the radio to be charged by any standard USB cable. These cables are very common and are used by many cell phones, MP3 players, or other electronic devices.

The Motorola 20 miles radios are compatible with all FRS/GMRS radios. It supports 22 channels and 121 privacy codes per channel with up to 20 miles of range in ideal conditions (up to 1.8 miles in urban conditions). Support for NOAA weather channels and iVOX hands-free use are also included. Just like all Motorola products, these rugged two-way radios are designed for years of reliable service. And with Motorola walkie talkies there are no dropped calls, no roaming charges and never a monthly bill.
