The PHS TFB-1 In-Ear microphones are mounted in an extremely comfortable super-soft In-Ear holders that slide right into the ear lobe. It is worn this way while recording and produces an extremely realistic recording. High quality reproductive sound quality is accomplished by having the microphone element right next to the opening of the ear, by your auditory canal. While recording, your hearing is not impaired, so you can hear normally while making a very realistic recording. The cable is 1 meter in length and terminates in a right angle 1/8" miniplug. Comes with a Windscreen Option: As there are some variances in the shape of the human ear, and especially for customers with larger than average ears, and/or for windy situations, soft foam windscreens are available (choose windscreen option above). These windscreens are acoustically transparent, and allow sound to pass through to your ears and the microphones completely unchanged. They are shipped in a natural off-white color and are easily dyed with common household dyes available at your local supermarket. These are also handy for those recordists who need the microphones to be very unobtrusive as they completely cover the mic element.
